Overview
Itinerary
Other Tours
Dates: January 25-30, 2009 (6 days) Fee: $1195 per person Deposit: $300 Group Size: 8 participants Highlights: 3 days of wildlife model shooting
Come shoot wildlife models during the wonderful Montana winter and set yourself apart from the competition! Shoot species like Siberian tiger, gray wolf, and mountain lion in a controlled situation allowing you to obtain stunning images. In three days of shooting, you will be able to obtain images that would probably take more than three years of shooting in the wild. The animal models will be in a natural setting, and most shooting is done in wide open areas. The tour is based out of Bozeman, MT. The tour will begin with dinner and an orientation meeting on the first day. Then we will spend the next three days shooting wildlife models at nearby locations in a winter surrounding, with a high probability of snow cover. If we cannot shoot on one of the first three days due to inclement weather, then we will shoot on the fourth day (a weather day). If we do shoot on each of the first three days, then participants have the option of shooting additional animals on the fourth day at $125/person/species. This tour is intended for photographers who want to capture stunning images of hard-to-photograph species in the winter. The tour is limited to eight (8) participants to provide a cozy small-group atmosphere. The tour is somewhat physically demanding because participants will be shooting for several hours a day, in cold temperatures, and will most likely be standing up and stooping repeatedly. Most shooting will be close to your vehicle, so you will not have to carry your gear very far. Bozeman is the nearest airport. You may rent your own car or share transportation with other participants. (A participant list will be provided.) While you're in the area, spend some time in nearby Yellowstone National Park. Inexpensive lodging is available in Gardiner, MT, and you can self-drive through the northern section of the park including the Lamar Valley, an excellent area for wildlife.
