A big rain storm moved in shortly after I made the image in the previous blog post, so Jan and I waited a couple of days for the ground to dry out so we wouldn't destroy the sensitive environment. We went out yesterday afternoon to a different area of the Valley Of Dreams in the Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah Wilderness Study Area of northwestern New Mexico, and the ground was still a little soft but firm enough to walk on without leaving footstep imprints. The cloud layer didn't develop any color at sunset, so I converted this image to black-and-white to make the most of the nice composition. Enjoy!
