There's a wonderful badlands area in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument with layers of yellow, purple, and tan soil. The eroded forms were emphasized by the low light angle late in the afternoon, and there was just enough of a cloud to make some grand landscape images.

The image above was made with a fairly normal perspective using a 45mm lens, and the image below was made about five minutes later with a slightly narrower perspective using a 90mm lens. Which image do you prefer?
