The fall color has finally peaked here in the Mt. Hood National Forest. Most of the leaves are now more brown than yellow or orange, and some strong winds have blown off lots of leaves. I like the lichen-covered trunk and branches of this bigleaf maple, or Oregon maple, that still had some nice yellow leaves on it.
