February is my favorite time to be in Serengeti National Park because the Great Wildebeest Migration is in the southern Serengeti to give birth on the vast low-grass plains. Here's a lone blue wildebeest, also known as a brindled gnu, drinking along the shallow edge of Lake Masek.
