I had a very slow day yesterday in Yellowstone National Park. I only photographed a lone Grizzly Bear in the morning and a lone Gray Wolf shortly before sunset. Yes, a wolf, and at close range! I came upon it at a Bison carcass by the confluence of the Lamar River and Soda Butte Creek and it was mostly hidden by the tall vegetation. I was able to get some images of it crossing an open area as it was leaving, but my best images were taken later after it had crossed Soda Butte Creek and was heading towards the road. It was a fantastic way to end a very slow day!
