Coyote Buttes Dawn in Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, Arizona

I photographed in the South Coyote Buttes Wilderness of Vermilion Cliffs National Monument this morning. This is where I injured my knee back in February. (You can read about it on the blog entry for February 21, 2012.) It was good to return, and because I was familiar with the area, I was able to arrive before sunrise and go to an area with good dawn photography potential. Now if I could just get some nice clouds for a change. My knee did well hiking around in the sand and over slickrock, and the f-stop Satori EXP was fantastic!
