It was another cloudy afternoon yesterday in the San Juan Basin of New Mexico. We explored a different area than two days ago and we found lots of petrified wood. I was amazed at the pieces I found and photographed in this image because a knot is clearly visible in the large chunk in the foreground.

Looks more like dried out wood than petrified!
