Guadalupe Mountains At Sunset in Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Texas

We visited Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas for the first time yesterday. There were some decent clouds forming around sunset, so we headed to a location we had scouted earlier to photograph Guadalupe Peak, the highest point in Texas at 8749 ft (2666m), and El Capitan. Well, "scouted" might be too strong a word because we had just taken a quick look at the area without evaluating exact compositional possibilities. So, when we returned shortly before sunset, we had to scramble to find compositions that would take advantage of the small patch of color above the peaks.
