Ice On The River Chama in Heron Lake State Park, New Mexico

Still no good images from Banff National Park, but we spent about ten minutes this morning with a wolf trotting by the side of the road. We weren't set up to photograph from the car, so I drove while J used her "lynx cam" to get some shots.

So, another image from the past, and one taken on the same day as the image in my first blog post. It's ice along the edge of the River Chama in Heron Lake State Park, New Mexico. I converted it to black-and-white using Silver Efex Pro, a wonderful program for making the most of B&W images.

Nice to see a wolf! But what is a lynx cam?

Ah, J's "lynx cam" is her Canon 5D Mk II and 70-200 (with or without a 1.4x) that she keeps in the car to be able to get a shot of a lynx, or other unusual animal, that we come across when we're not set up to photograph from the car.
