This image of a juniper and boulders in Joshua Tree National Park shows the importance of having great clouds for a landscape image. The juniper and boulders make a nice composition, but the clouds that fill in the background in a nice curve really make the image. A uniform blue sky or an overcast sky would have made this composition a mediocre image.
